Patty and I just got married last week and our guest stayed at the Blue Moon Inn on Alt 19 north in Palm Harbor. This is a relatively new small inn that features very large rooms with vaulted ceilings and a terrrific and healthy, free breakfast for guests. Behind the Inn is a well appointed RV park. Rooms rates in the summer are less than a hundred dollars.

A Palm Harbor lankmark is Stachan's Ice Cream, an old fashion ice cream store featuring homemade ice cream. Strachan's is also famous for specialty desserts, especially its carrot cake. There are tables outside.Bring your dog and ask for the free"doggy cone".

If you relish a delicious vegetarian breakfast or lunch, then our favorite is Consciousness Blossoms in Palm Harbor. Owned and operated by Buddhists, the atmosphrere is unique for it friendliness and peacefulness. Breakfast and lunch items include vegan whole wheat pancakes, buckwheat waffles with fresh strawberries, tofu scramble, veggie omelets with whole grain toast, vegetarian reuben, hawaiian sandwich, and more. Casual setting. Cash only. Tue-Sun 7:30am-2:30pm, dinner Fri 5-8pm, closed Monday.
